Brand New will be headlining the Triple Crown Records 10 Year Anniversary show at the Blender Theatre at Gramercy in New York, NY on Monday, December 17, 2007 with special guests As Tall As Lions and The Receiving End of Sirens! Proceeds will benefit the Fealgood Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance for 9/11 first responders as well as advocacy and education about 9/11 health care issues.

Friday, on the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" show we will be performing part of one of our songs from the latest album. Please tune in at your convenience. Also you may be hearing parts of our song being played on the radio soon. Check your local rock and roll station.
We leave for Europe in a matter of days to play shows with Jeremy Enigk, and Me Without You, and our excitement knows no bounds. We are looking forward to meeting new friends in each country we visit, and we would like to thank all of you for the opportunity you've given us to play in such a variety of locales. On this tour and all the following tours this year we will be playing the songs in their entirety, the way we wrote them, which we believe to be a novel and groundbreaking concept. This year looks downright daunting to us, but it feels nice to get back to playing show after show, tour after tour. Also, for all you New Yorkers, we are planning on adding quite a number of NYC dates in the early spring, so don't fret about not getting tickets to the shows that were announced. We hope to see you all soon.

Hello.
Its been a while since any of us has left something personal up here, but the last few weeks have been incredibly special for us and we just wanted to take the time to voice our appreciation. The release of our record was a great relief to us and we owe a huge thank you to everyone who went and bought it, or planning to buy it, or listening to it, or sharing it with their friends. It is some of the most honest noise we've made and are very glad to be able to share it with you.
Secondly, thank you to everyone who took part in the last tour, friends, fans, bands, and crew alike. We had a marvelous time and are glad to be firing back into life on the road and on stage.
The lyrics to the albums are now accessible from the front page of the website. In addition we have received many prompt requests for the handwritten The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me lyric booklet and would like to assure everyone they are being mailed soon. Thank you for digging around your couch for the quarters and for the wonderfully decorated dollar bills.
While we are on the subject of money we'd like to take a second and say a few things.
We would like to express our gratitude to anyone of you who has ever spent a nickel on this band, whether it was getting into a show, or buying a sticker, or a t shirt, or a record. It takes money to tour, and feed a band and its crew, or to record an album (after the label has spent all of yours). You all make these things possible, and in turn keep Brand New a band. But the bottom line is that we would rather this band didn't become something we felt like we were constantly selling to you guys. The only thing we as a band will ever claim authenticity on is our music. Just because all that other stuff comes from us, just because you bought a shirt on our website, or at a show, or got a lyric book in the mail, it doesn't mean it's any more unique or authentic then something you could do yourself. In fact it is less. It's just merchandise. The only "official" part of the band is what you hear on our records or at a show, the sounds we make. Write BRAND NEW on your knuckles or on a wall and it's just a good as some sticker that has an "interscope" logo on it. If you're feeling up to it, save the twenty bucks you were gonna spend on our merch site and write "The Devil and God are Raging Inside me" in marker on your dad's old t shirt. It will scare your parents, cost you nothing, and be about the most limited edition thing anyone will ever own... unless you make two.
What we are trying to say is that the important thing is that you are listening, and not so much buying. Spread it around. Share us with your friends. We thank you for supporting our band, and appreciate that you continue to do so, especially by playing our albums and coming to shows to watch us play. We hope everyone has a good holiday and a joyful new year. We're brushing up on our German and Gaelic.

We are very sorry to announce that tonight's show at The Majestic in Detroit has been cancelled due to illness. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. We will do everything we can to reschedule as soon as possible. Tomorrow's show in Toronto is STILL happening.

Our main focus for these past 10 months was to make the best record we
possibly could
for us and you. With this in mind there was always a
part we felt we could play better, or a part we felt could be
improved. This tedious process explains why it has taken so long. We
have all lost our minds on numerous occasions, and to be honest
still
haven't found them.
We will finally be entering the mixing process on Monday June 12.
Rich Costey has signed on to man the faders and we all couldn't be happier!

There will be 13, 14, 15, or 16 songs being mixed
And 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 of those songs will make it on the record.
We are blown away by the response the tour has received and hopefully
will be testing out a few new songs on the road.
We, again, are sorry we have not kept you guys in the loop. We
feel now that we are truly happy with our record, and we will notify
you of any SIGNIFICANT news in the future.

In keeping with tradition, there will be a limited number of lithos available on this upcoming tour. This time there will be a new poster design for each time a new band enters the tour...each design will only be available at those shows and will cycle out when the new band joins. Only 25 of these lithos will be sold each night. The first design (for shows June 20th - June 23rd) is up on BN's myspace and we will continue to post new ones as the designs come in!
